STC NorthBay - About Us

STC is a professional association that advances the arts and sciences of technical communication. The NorthBay Chapter serves technical communicators in Telecom Valley and includes Sonoma, Marin, Napa, and other counties in Northern California.

Although the NorthBay Chapter is among the smallest chapters within STC's Region 8 and has existed only since 1994, technology continues to grow in our area. We have opportunities for interaction and creativity that a larger chapter might not afford.

If you:

  are looking for support in your chosen career
  have recently moved to the area
  are investigating technical communication as a possible career
  wish to keep up on current skills and learn new ones

then please come to one of our meetings. Many great speakers have come to share their professional knowledge.
