Vasont Systems and Joann Hackos present "Minimalism - A Process for Content Transformation"
Emigsville, PA, May 30, 2006 — Vasont Systems, a leading provider of content management software and data services, is excited to announce a joint webinar with Dr. JoAnn Hackos, entitled, "Minimalism – A Process for Content Transformation." Speakers will include Dr. Hackos and Vasont Systems’ Senior Sales Engineer, Bret Freeman. The free webinar will take place Tuesday, June 13th at 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.
No company wants to spend time and money creating content, only to find later that its customers do not need it. It is important to focus time, energy, and money on the content that is most valuable to customers. This is why minimalism is an essential concept in the process of preparing content for an information model, for transformation into XML and DITA, and for using a content management system effectively.
Dr. JoAnn Hackos is President of Comtech Services, a content-management and information-design firm based in Denver, Colorado, which she founded in 1978. She is Director of the Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM), a membership organization focused on content-management and information-development best practices.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Hackos has addressed audiences internationally on subjects ranging from content management, project management, effective interfaces and information, minimal information products, usability testing, and online and Web-based information, to managing the information design and development process. She authored Content Management for Dynamic Web Delivery (Wiley 2002), Managing Your Documentation Projects (Wiley 1994), Standards for Online Communication (Wiley 1997), and User and Task Analysis for Interface Design (Wiley 1998).
As Senior Sales Engineer for Vasont Systems, Bret Freeman is responsible for technical support for the sales and marketing staff. He is an accomplished speaker and frequently delivers presentations for Vasont’s Webinar Series, industry conferences, and media events. Freeman has more than ten years of experience in the information management and publishing industry.
