Gabrielle recommended we set up a regular monthly Chapter Officer's meeting to discuss and work on chapter matters (see forwarded message below this one).

Your choice of beverages and snacks, provided by the Chapter.

- Finding a corporate host in Petaluma for our presentation meetings
- Strategies to increase member participation
- Web site enhancements
- Newsletter items
- Tech Writer Jokes

Hi Rolfe,

I was thinking about this, this a.m. but did not have time to send you an
email as I was rushing out the door.

Let us have an Officers' Meeting of our chapter of STC.

1) Set a non-meeting night, preferably 2 weeks away from the meeting, say on
a Wednesday, and we will have a meeting, maybe at a Starbucks, or a cafe or
something.
2) Invite all the officers.
3) Let us invite all of our members as well if any of them want to have a
say. We want to include people, not exclude them from an elite group.
4) Announce it at the next meeting next week.
5) We will put it on the web site.

At the meeting, we will do brainstorming, a bit of team
building/socializing, and decision making. In the October meeting we will
come back to our members and discuss our exciting meeting and decisions
made. Whoever shows up will participate in the decision making and taking
an active roll in steering our great group.

We need to get momentum going. If we pull together to do that, 1 person
won't get swamped and overwhelmed. We need to show up.
